Everything you need to know about WaSun smart glasses.
Product & Technology
WaSun glasses transition from fully clear to fully tinted in approximately 5 seconds. This is significantly faster than traditional photochromic lenses which can take minutes.
Over 7 days of normal use. Electrochromic technology is extremely efficient; it only consumes power during the physical transition state. Maintaining a tint requires zero continuous energy.
A capacitive touch sensor is hidden in the frame's temple. Simply tap to toggle between fully clear and fully tinted, or slide your finger to adjust the tint to any precise level.
Through a sleek, proprietary magnetic pogo-pin connector hidden on the inner arm of the frame. Snap it on, and a full charge takes under 30 minutes.
Design & Comfort
No. Our electronics and batteries are highly miniaturized. WaSun frames weigh only slightly more than standard acetate frames, ensuring all-day comfort.
Yes. The electrochromic film is completely separate from the optical lens. You can fit single-vision, progressives, or readers seamlessly.
They are IPX4 water and sweat resistant. Perfectly fine for rain, heavy workouts, or accidental splashes, but you shouldn't submerge them in a pool.
For our 2026 launch, we are releasing three distinct unisex silhouettes in matte black, tortoiseshell, and clear acetate.
Pricing & Availability
We are finalizing our hardware prototypes and aiming for a commercial rollout in 2026.

Health & Safety

Yes. The base layer features a high-grade blue light filter, reducing digital eye strain from computers and phones even when the lenses are completely clear.
Absolutely. The electronics operate on extremely low voltage (under 3V), making them completely safe. They emit zero radiation and generate no heat.
Many users with photophobia or light-triggered migraines find instant relief by having the ability to rapidly darken their lenses on demand when exposed to sudden bright environments.
